RPS built the world’s largest mobile gas turbine package. In order to test the capability of these units, RPS owns and operates an electrical power source called a load bank. Our load bank converts energy into heat and allows that heat to dissipate into the air using fans. It accurately mimics the operations of a 45MW load without using power from the grid. If there are any errors within the unit, they can be identified before they are sold to the customer. These testing practices allow RPS to ensure that the unit can function efficiently in any circumstances.
